On Friday, January 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The leaders discussed the necessary diplomatic efforts to implement the peace formula.

Vladimir Zelensky announced this in his Telegram.

“I had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We discussed the need to continue the “grain initiative” and the possibility of expanding its geography to other ports of Ukraine. We supported the further action of the Ukrainian humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine. We also discussed in detail the necessary diplomatic efforts to implement the formula,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The head of state also thanked for organizing the meeting of the Ombudsmen of Ukraine, Turkey and Russia in Ankara.

“Ukraine hopes for Turkey’s help in returning to Ukraine political prisoners of the Kremlin, children from temporarily occupied territories, civilian hostages and prisoners of war,” Zelensky stressed.

Recall that on January 20, defense meetings in the Ramstein format started in Germany. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has already addressed the participants.

In his speech via video link, the head of state said that Russia seeks to destroy peoples. According to him, this war will decide “the fate of the world in which we will live,” so partners should help Ukraine with weapons so that the Kremlin does not retaliate.
