In the middle of next week, Germany will begin training the Ukrainian military to operate Leopard 2 tanks.

Sources of the publication note that the first groups of Ukrainian military arrived in Germany from Poland for training. It will take place at a military training ground in Münster, where Ukrainians are training on Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
“The courses will be accelerated and will last only 6-8 weeks. Usually, preparation takes several years, ”the material says.
Earlier, the Bundeswehr reported that the Ukrainian military would be trained in basic tank control skills, and they would also work out the interaction between the Leopard 2 and Marder on the battlefield.
If everything goes according to plan, then at the end of March the first Ukrainian military will go to the front line on the Leopard-2. Since the beginning of the war, Germany has already trained about 1,500 Ukrainian troops to work with various combat systems, such as Gepard self-propelled guns and Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers.
