The AMX-10 armored vehicles, which classify light wheeled tanks, promised at the end of last year, will be sent to Ukraine by France by the end of next week. The number has not yet been disclosed.
France next week will begin delivering AMX-10 RC armored vehicles to Ukraine, which are classified as light wheeled tanks. This was announced on Sunday, February 19, by French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecarnu to Le Parisien newspaper.
According to him, the first cars will be sent to Ukraine “before the end of next week” (before February 26. – Ed.). The minister refused to name their number in the first batch, so as not to transfer “strategic information” to Russia.
Asked about the possibility of providing the fighter jets requested by Ukraine, Lekarnu said the issue “is not a taboo” but that such military assistance raises difficult “logistical and practical issues.”
The first Western tanks

The United States promised to transfer 31 American Abrams tanks to Ukraine. According to The Washington Post, they can only be delivered later this year or early next year, since they will not be transferred from military stocks, but purchased from industry.
